About your trainer
Lucy Stewart has over 10 years of experience as a researcher and strategist and an MSc in the Bioeconomy, Innovation and Governance.
Lucy has worked to influence the collective practice of designers to be more climate conscious. She is an expert in designing learning spaces to support individuals and teams to adapt design methods and was the lead curator of the UK Design & Climate community.
Lucy led design agency Snook’s Thriving Planet team, developing subject expertise in renewable energy services and sustainable fishing.
She worked as a Service Designer and Participation Lead at Adur & Worthing Councils, where she led projects on nature regeneration as well as working with service managers to embed sustainability into strategy and services. As a freelance designer Lucy has contributed to nature recovery strategies, products to develop sustainable financing with NatWest to companies seeking to manage rechargeable batteries for transport schemes.
Previously, Lucy was at Arup where she worked as a lead designer to merge service design and participation with innovation management and a heavy dose of reality in the pursuit of designing a built environment that works for people without wrecking the planet.

How it works
This course runs from 09:30 GMT - 13:30 GMT on two consecutive days (11 & 12 November) There are regular breaks throughout the day. All classes are delivered live and online in small classes that are a mix of taught tuition, individual exercises, and group discussion
Our course takes place online on Zoom in English. The slides are available in advance and we enable automated live captioning on every course with Zoom’s speech to text auto-translation in the full range of languages supported by Zoom. Courses are not recorded as we want to ensure people feel comfortable to share their case studies in the joint sessions. We do not allow AI meeting note takers as we we wish to protect the privacy of information shared by course participants
Cost and Payment
A small number of Early Bird tickets are available before at £395 excluding VAT. Standard tickets are £430 excluding VAT.
VAT is chargeable only to participants in the United Kingdom

Cancellations and refunds
Bookings are refundable up to 7 days before the date of the event, minus a small card processing fee. If you cant make your booking we’ll make every effort to move you to a date that’s suitable. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel an event you will be notified and you will be offered either a refund or another course date
