School of Good Services bursary
We offer a twice-yearly bursary for individuals who face systemic discrimination. The Bursary has 5 available places and is open around the first few months of the year and end of the summer.
We wrote more about why we’re offering this bursary on our blog
What does the bursary include?
Being awarded a School of Good Services bursary means that you can come on 1 of our public courses for free and receive 1:1 coaching with our directors (Lou and Sarah)
Who is it for?
People who face systemic discrimination or are underrepresented in the design industry. This may be people who have lived experience of or are;
Queer, Trans or non binary identifying
Black or person of colour
Disabled or neurodiverse
Worried about financially meeting basic needs and inhibited in pursuing further education
First hand experience with the asylum seeking process
Affected disproportionately by climate change
Single parents
Under 21 and looking for their first step into design
It would be impossible for us to list every person who faces a form of systemic discrimination or is under represented in the industry. It’s not as binary as categorising people into boxes, but if you think you could be supported by the bursary, please do apply
All of our courses are delivered on Zoom on BST with closed captions enabled. There are regular breaks throughout and slides can be shared. All courses and coaching are delivered live in English. If there is anything you need to be able to access our courses or coaching in addition to this please let us know and we’ll do what we can
