Happy New Year!

2023 was a busy year, and if you’re still not ready to come out of hibernation, don’t worry, we’ve got some exciting plans afoot to share with you for 2024

We trained over 500 people last year through our public courses and collaborated with over 50 organisations in our private training programmes. Thank you to everyone who took part!

What’s in store for 2024?

We took some time over Christmas (in the Yorkshire Dales!) to think about what new courses we could bring to support you and your organisation this year. So here’s a list of our exciting developments for 2024.

A new course in Designing Sustainable services

We’ve been busy with climate-focused design experts Ness Wright and Lucy Stewart developing a new course to help you design and deliver services that work for people and the planet

Designing Sustainable Services is a one-day course that helps you to understand the impact your service has on the planet, and help you to embed sustainability within your service design processes and influence your wider organisation

You can read more about the course which is running the 18th June and October 15th. Early bird tickets on sale now.

We sat down with Ness and Lucy to chat more about the course, about the term sustainability, and why they think this training is important for designers now in a climate emergency. You can read more in our interview with Lucy and Ness.

More expert courses in 2024!

After talking to the industry and our clients, we’ll be developing some exciting new courses this year. We’re going to focus on really stretching the skills of experts, and expanding the level of awareness within organisations to make it easier for you to deliver services that work.

We’ll release more information soon, but we’re looking at prototyping, organisational change and understanding service performance to name a few!

OMG a Podcast!?!

We did some recordings back in 2022 and 2023 with designers, change-makers and leaders that we haven’t released yet. Consider them like a band’s lost tapes.

We’re bringing them back. We’re going to be delivering a series of conversations on full-stack service design and making change across organisations to help deliver good services.

In addition to our series that will come out at various points in the year we’re going to be hosting a monthly podcast show called Dead Ends of Lou and Sarah talking about everything to do with services, our mastermind topic!

2024 Course Dates

We’ve released dates for all of our courses this year, along with early-bird ticket prices for a limited number of tickets. so if you’ve been holding off on booking a course this year, now’s your time!

Talks

We’ve got some exciting travels planned for the New Year.

We’ll be in Chile in April with Public Innovation Lab from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and then at one of our top pick conferences for the year, Camp Digital in Manchester, UK where Lou is keynoting and Sarah is running a workshop.

In May we’ll be at Business to Buttons in Stockholm. Check out their branding, it’s lush.
